The Big Time Operators Club was created in the early 1970's as a way of promoting the good CB Radio operators. BTO Members were expected to be be of top notch caliber and an example to all. They didn't play the hash and trash games that allot of people played. The club started in Muncie Indiana and soon grew to include members all over the US and some in other countries.

The BTO Club is open to anyone, male or female, who is along the same beliefs of being a good radio operator and exhibit proper radio etiquette.

The Club is governed by a board of officers who oversee the day to day operations.
